About Savvy Traveling

Hello, my name is Patricia King and I’m a travel writer, blogger, and influencer based in Atlanta, Georgia. I’m the founder of Savvy Traveling, a travel and lifestyle blog created for adults over 50, empty nesters, and active baby boomers. Traveling has always been my passion. I have a graduate degree in journalism and worked as a freelance journalist, writer, and editor after my stint as a newspaper staff reporter. With Savvy Traveling, I write blog posts and use media and social media to guide anyone interested in travel.

In 2011, I started Savvy Traveling to share my travel stories, photographs, and impressions from my trips around the world. I strongly believe that storytelling is the essence of destination marketing. Potential travelers are attracted to the authentic stories of your destination and the real experiences they can have when they visit.

My posts and articles focus on beautiful destinations, culture, arts, and food while expressing my personal opinions about the places I visit, the people I meet, and their traditions. I strive to introduce my readers, particularly those over 50 years old, to unexpected and unique travel experiences that will provide itinerary ideas and inspiration for their future travel plans. I write mostly about   North American destinations, solo travel, multigenerational and skip-generation travel, culture, road trips, and fascinating hidden gems.

I am a travel writer and nano-influencer with a dedicated and engaged audience. My readers are always eager to discover new travel destinations, whether they are on the other side of the world or just around the corner. On my website and social media platforms, I have amassed over 10,000 followers and viewers, with the majority being North American women aged between 25 to 65 years old.
